Nicaraguan Water Project
The Nicaraguan water project is our first international project and one of major significance.
Due to the scope of the project, many other clubs have been invited to help with the effort. The seven clubs that have agreed to help with money, time and resources are: Rotary Club of Mead, Longmont Twin Peaks Rotary, Boulder Valley Rotary, Golden Rotary Club, Carbon Valley Rotary, University Hills Rotary and Conifer Rotary Club.
Work in the village of Los Pinares, Barrio Neuvo and Miaflor will begin in 2010. The project includes digging wells, building latrines and bringing water taps to house holds.
To implement the plan, Rotary has partnered with Namlo International and Agau Para La Vida to help build the water wells and sanitation systems.
