Rotary Club of Mead is a vibrant, irreverent group of folks who live and/or work in the Mead area.  The Club was first organized in October 2010.  By October 2011, the Club had attracted enough committed individuals to become eligible for Charter status, an officially recognized member of Rotary International.

Over the years, the Club has engaged in local community service projects including Mead Clean-up Days, Adopt-A-Highway, 9News Health Fair and more.

The Club has demonstrated its commitment to our youth by sponsoring multiple spots in the annual leadership camps: Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) for high school sophomores, and Young RYLA, for seventh grade students.  Additionally, the Club annually sponsors a college scholarship that is open to youth in the Mead area irrespective of their high school of choice.

The Club's signature community service effort is the installation of water wells and sanitation in three, separate villages in the mountains of Nicaragua.  While the Club has enjoyed the partnerships and support of neighboring Rotary Clubs, Mead initiated the projects and has consistently been a driving force.
