Zach Wachter

My name is Zak Wachter and I was born and raised in Mead, Colorado and attend Mead High School. While attending Mead, I participated in Football and Track for all four years as well as playing the cello for Orchestra. Outside of school, I have spent my time working for Discount Tire and have completed two mission trips working to restore homes in South Dakota and Wyoming. Outside of that, I have spent my time developing my passion for all things mechanical, whether it be building go carts or rebuilding cars and of course being with my friends and family.

I have enjoyed my time at Mead High School primarily with my involvement with sports. The teams, teammates and coaches created an environment where I learned about who I am. There were hard times and there were great times, such as going to the State Championship last year for football. Within the team, I learned how to push myself through hard times, be a good friend and then how to celebrate the good times. In school, some of the most influential teachers for me were Coach Klatt and Coach Palko. During these past four years, both were tremendously influential in teaching and guiding me how to treat others and think about the things I do as well as the approach I take in doing things regardless of the situation. I will always be grateful for those life lessons that they provided.

I have been told if you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life. Going forward, I’m looking forward to continuing my passion for all things mechanical and am planning on attending school for Mechanical Engineering with a potential focus in Aerospace.

Cydnee Fuller

Hello, first off I would like to thank my choir director Mrs. Berry for nominating me for rotary student of the month and my family for always supporting me in all my endeavors. My name is Cydnee Fuller and I am a senior at Mead High School. I am a part of the Mead High School music program, performing in Harmonique, the traditional advanced women’s choir, and Polyphonics, the audition-only mixed jazz choir. I am also the Kid’s Workshop Coach and Credit Captain at the Longmont Home Depot and have been employed there for 1 and a half years.  After graduation, I plan to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in business at the University of Wyoming, as well as continue to volunteer with elementary and special education students in my community.
