Congratulations to Kasey and Josiah for being Mead Rotary Students of the Month!
Kasey and Josiah shared a little bit about themselves during the recognition ceremony that was held at the High School.

Kasey Schmotzer:
"As a student at Mead I have been involved since freshman year. I was in Student Council during freshman and sophomore year and I have also been a member of NHS. I always make sure to make it to the football games and be a part of the student section to support our teams. I am also an active part of our art program. Outside of school I have done various volunteer work through multiple senior living communities. I am currently employed as a barista at The Hard Bean coffee shop in Ft.Lupton. After high school I plan on moving to Florida with my family where I will start my college career at Florida State College at Jacksonville for two years and then transfer to Flagler College to major in Hospitality and Tourism Management. I also hope to get to be a part of Disney’s semester-long college program."

Josiah Green:
"Hi, my name is Josiah Green, I am in Mrs. Vanzant's SSN class.   I have Autism.  I love Unified Sports.  I played flag football, soccer, and basketball.  I also am in Unified Percussion.  I played on the Longmont Community softball team Niwot Nightmares last summer.  I love Unified Percussion  at Mead High School and also Ironworks.  I like so many of my teachers,  they care alot about me.  Mrs. Vanzant teaches most of my classes and Ms. Bradt teaches English. They are very nice.  I also like all of the paras who help me: Ms. Fox, Ms. Anderson, Ms. Kraft, Ms. G and Ms. A.  Mr. Lemons is one of my favorite teachers, he teaches Unified Percussion.  I also really like Mr. Tatam and Mr. Palko.  When I grow up I want to be a Baker, I love to decorate cakes.  I will go to the LSA program first, and then maybe take classes to become a Baker.  I will probably need a coach to help me learn baking skills.  I really love Disney.  I also love to play the piano.  I have a lot of great friends at Mead High School.
Thank You for nominating me for this award."
